About Us

My name’s Jill and I’m the half of Babrees Designs that does the web designs. Sorry for the poor photo, but I have to admit that I hate my photo being taken but managed to find this!

I have been working with computers for more than 35 years (aarrgh!), over 20 years working in graphic design and 11+ years working just on web sites. I love my work and am passionate about well designed websites. I love sites that are clean, visually appealing and easy to navigate, and I think this shows in our portfolio.

All the sites are built and designed using a Content Management System (CMS). This allows you to keep your site up to date without the need to know coding such as html, php or javascript. Don’t worry – we provide full training and advice FREE OF CHARGE.

Ian and I are now retired from breeding and exhibiting dogs under our Kennel Club affix of Babrees, but we still have dogs and retain a keen interest in dogs and all animals. Jill is still Secretary of the British Canaan Dog Society. Because of this hobby and interest, we know just what pet clubs, breeders, exhibitors and other pet related businesses need from a website, and a lot of our work has been animal related.

Babrees Designs isn’t just about web design and web sites though!  We also have section dedicated to used photographic equipment.

My name’s Ian and I deal with the photographic side of Babrees Designs. You can see my website at 123Photographs.

I been interested in photography since about eight years old when my father gave me a Box Brownie camera, which I believe I still have somewhere!

In 1972 I purchased my first SLR, a Nikkormat FT3, from Jessops in Leicester (before they went national), and I even did a bit of developing at one time.

Over the years I’ve tried a few different camera systems briefly, but I’ve always settled on Nikon. Recently I’ve started experimenting again and been trying out Canon and Olympus cameras. Although I still specialise in Nikon and am also very interested in Canon cameras.

Babrees Designs has been in existence sionce 1997, and became a limited company in 2005.
